If you got involved in an accident and the other person’s car insurance company is not included in the police report, what will you do? Is there any way for you to know their car insurance information or if they are insured? Please help.

In most states you may be able to get the other person’s car insurance information from the law enforcement officer.

It is the police officer’s responsibility to put this information on the police accident report. If there is no accident report made, then I suggest that you speak with a police officer to file a report. If you have a report, you will need to speak with the police officer that wrote up the report.

In addition to that, you can speak with your car insurance carrier to help you with filing of car insurance claim. .

If you are unable to find the at fault party’s car insurance information, then you will have to file the claim under your car insurance policy if you have the right coverage for the claim.
